Motivation is the key factor for learning a second language and making our lessons closer to the students’ reality is the easiest way to increase the incentive. Nowadays our life is all about consuming video content, thus, bringing this type of material to our classroom is vital. Video is an inexhaustible source of language to practice and topics to discuss, that is why it is suitable for both skills and systems lessons. At this workshop we will outline the typical stages of a video-based lesson and look at the most practical ways how to work with authentic videos. Moreover, there will be a collection of videos with handout samples ready to be used in your classrooms.
